Background: Hanns Seidel Foundation (HSF) is a non-profit organization for democracy, peace, and development. Position Objectives: HSF is looking for a full-time Junior Project Manager / Project Manager (100% position) starting at 01.03.2025 who will play a crucial role in coordinating and overseeing key projects in alignment with HSF's strategic goals. Moreover, he/she will play an active role in the diverse HSF Jerusalem Team and will also support other tasks related to the field of project office administration.
Job Description:
• Coordination and management of partner organizations’ project activities, in the fields of environment and sustainability among others
• Planning and implementing of events and project activities
• Financial administration of project activities
• Management of respective websites and social media accounts
• Contact management with partner organizations, municipal, and governmental representatives
• This includes: writing reports, evaluating projects and researching social trends
• Supporting the organization and coordination of delegations with regard to administrative and content aspects
• Working within a multifaceted, diverse environment in Jerusalem with colleagues and stakeholders in Israel, the Palestinian Territories, Germany, Belgium and beyond
These key responsibilities are subject to change. Any changes will be made in consultation with the jobholder and in line with the nature of the job and its level of responsibilities.
Qualifications Required:
• Proven experience as a Project Manager or in a similar role
• Minimum Bachelor's degree in any relevant field (such as in Political Science)
• English and Arabic full professional proficiency (spoken and written); knowledge of Hebrew and/or German is an asset
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, including ability to prioritize tasks and always meeting deadlines reliably
• Willingness to travel occasionally
• Valid work permit in Israel
• Ability to work in a dynamic, cross-cultural, multi-faith environment
