Haqel: In Defense of Human Rights, seeks a resource development assistant for a part-time position in our office in Jerusalem. We are looking for a committed, professional individual who has experience in resource development.
Haqel provides holistic legal intervention to tackle the core proprietary violations affecting the Palestinian population in the occupied Palestinian territories by promoting human rights principles within the framework of international human rights law and international humanitarian law. Haqel works on behalf of landowners to gain access to their lands and prevent families and entire villages from displacement.
Under the supervision of the Co-Director, the resource development assistant will help raise funds to support Haqel’s work.
Responsibilities:
• Grant writing and reporting
• Researching new potential funders
• Grant administration
Related Skills:
• Strong commitment to human rights
• Excellent writing skills
• Academic degree
• Mother-tongue English
• Familiarity with logframes, theory of change, and other project monitoring & evaluation methods
• Attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Experience working in NGOs
